Tips and
Tricks

There are countless ways to turn potatoes into ‘todatoes’, by making them tastier and easier to prepare. Here are some of our favourites.

Always start potatoes in cold,
salted water.

Shake up par-cooked potatoes in a pot or dish to fluff up the edges before roasting to get the perfect crispy roasties.

Prick potatoes with a fork on both sides to allow the water content to evaporate and cook evenly.

Try using chicken or vegetable stock in place of milk, or for extra creamy mash try cream, buttermilk, yoghurt, sour cream or cream cheese.

TRY ADDING THESE AS TASTY FLAVOUR COMBINATIONS:

Olive oil and curry powder, garlic and rosemary, dill, chives, parsley, roasted garlic, garlic salt, parmesan cheese, freshly cooked bacon bits, melted butter and minced garlic or lemon peel, chopped olives or olive tapenade, or olive oil and sweet paprika.
